In an industry known for long on-hold times and unreturned phone calls, LC puts a high emphasis on you being able to connect with them when your need is urgent. “Just this past week we ran a report on our average response time for service orders and it was 1 hour,” Matt reports. LC consultants can also help you minimize the times you have urgent needs thru proactive network management plans.
LC accomplishes their ongoing goal to be experts by being focused on specific products, dedicated to ongoing training and industry certifications, and making knowledge gained available to all technicians. “If we can't provide expert service we prefer to recommend the project to a company that we know can,” Matt says.
Company History
What is now a 12 person company with clients in 30 states, started in the basement of Matt Landis' home in 1995.
His interest in computers began when he started writing software for the Tandy TRS-80 Model III business computer for his dad's auto dealership. Since then Matt has been involved in programming in 5 computer languages including Visual Basic and Microsoft Access and has written complete business applications as varied as library management to auction sales systems.
To provide rounded out small business computer services Matt also began installing & supporting Microsoft networks eventually becoming a Microsoft Certified System Engineer. Landis Computer has focused on Microsoft Windows Small Business Server ®, and now supports Microsoft Small Business Server networks in six states.
Landis Computer clients were also requesting a Windows based accounting solution to replace their older DOS based systems. “We researched a dozen or more systems and worked with 4 different systems before we settled on Microsoft Dynamics Small Business Financials and Dynamics GP”, Matt noted. The wide industry support, myriad of add-ons and affordable customizability has made this a decision Matt has not regretted. Landis Computer has focused on SBF and GP to the point that they have clients and other resellers from across the USA looking to them for consulting and support.
